The Nude Look

Hello, world of blogging! Hello, internet!
This is my very first blog entry - and I am quite excited!! As this little blog is all about make up, fashion, beauty and lifestyle I would like to share my newest obsession with you (although I am probably very late with this obsession):
the Nude Look.
For those of you, who are new to the beauty/make up world, I'll explain what it is as best as I can:
The Nude Look is based on the "boudoir style", which was a movement in the 19th and 20th century in France. Certain fabrics became popular (such as laces and frills) and the new motto was "less is more" although the body wasn't ought to be exposed - sexual attraction was the main aim. During the Twenties and Thirties the Nude Look became established by women working in cabarets and varieties.
Typical examples for the Nude Look are:
 - hotpants
 - nylon stockings
 - frill blouses (plus showing the décolleté)
 - loose dresses
 - laces
 - shoes: sandals
Thanks to the "Prêt-à-porter" movement the Nude Look nowadays can be worn by everybody. The aim is to look sexy and show your body (with form-fitting clothes) but not to be too erotic and provoking.
Concerning make up, there is a different approach. Any colour between off-white and light brown is in the nude look range. These colours help you to create the "no make up look".
I think the Nude Look is a perfect start for everybody to get into the whole fashion and beauty world. Neither is it difficult to create, nor is it too flamboyant (if you don't exaggerate it, of course).
In my opinion everybody can rule the Nude Look - another huge advantage. Additionally, probably every single make up brand has published products that fit into this category, so it's easy for you to find a product that suits you best.
You can start your nude look with just lipstick and then expand it - using nail polish, eye shadow or even suitable clothes.

I hope you liked my first blog entry! If you have any questions contact me!

Lots of love,
