Plans, plans, plans...

Hello, my besties!

I know, I know... I didn't post anything, my youtube video is late (again) and my instagram wasn't up-to-date.
BUT.. now I have plans! Lots of plans. I don't know if I will be able to do and achieve everything I planned but we'll see. I do my best. :)

Firstly, instagram. I started posting again and from now on I will post pics everyday! Mostly pics concerning make up or fashion, but also nature shots or cute little things I find. If you don't follow me on instragram, you can click the instagram button on the right. :)

Secondly, youtube. I said in my last video (All Around The World, Paris) that I will upload a new video every Thursday and Monday. I didn't. I fail. But todady there I am giong to upload my Paris haul and I plan also to write a blog entry about all the stuff I bought in France. So stay tuned! :)
From this very day, I will upload videos on my youtube channel every Thursday and every second Monday. Monday will always be make up related. A tutorial, reviews, make up hauls,...... so it's called "Make Up Monday"!!!!
On Thursday, I will always upload something else, not make up related. For example, my morning/evening routine, everything concerning clothing, collabs, reviews of books/CDs/shows/..., just everything elde. If you have ideas, please tell me!! :)
Aaaaaaand on every first day of a month (no matter if it's a Monday or a Thursday) I will upload a "Favourites Video".
That's the youtube plan. I hope I can stick to that schedule. I really want to.
Please subscribe to my youtube channel using the button on the right! :)

Thirdly, this blog. I love writing in general. And I love writing about things that make me happy. I want to write a blog entry every two to three days. Sometimes the entries will be connected with my youtube videos, for example hauls or reviews. But I will also write about other stuff, completely different stuff. I already have plans for the next two weeks, so please follow my blog!

For any questions, suggestions, wishes,... please feel free to contact me!

This was just a quick entry to update you all. :)

My Paris Holiday

Hello, my besties!

As you may know from my youtube videos, I was in Paris for the first time of my life. I went there with my best friend Elli (she also has a blog and a youtube channel - it's called Elena Ellectra CHECK IT OUT NOW!!!! --- actually not now, but after you read this blog entry :P) - and it was just a perfect trip!

At first, I want to tell you something about my friendship with Elli. We met through an orchestra (we both play cello), however, we didn't really like each other initially. I thought that she was arrogant and apparently, she thought that about me, too. After some time, we met again and found out that we were put in the same room during an orchestra camp and I was absolutely annoyed by this fact. However, after about half an hour we noticed that we are very alike and that's when our friendship started. :-)

In January, we thought about going on holiday together, but not a beach holiday - a shopping/city holiday. We decided to go to Paris. On 23th of July we got on a plane and after a short flight we landed in the capital city of France. We were really lucky with the weather although the weather forecast had been horrible - the sun was shining brightly from a clear blue sky.
After finding our hotel (which was a little complicated - especially because a strange guy at the railway station confused us and bought us tickets we didn't need and we kind of ran away from him with our suitcases), we explored the surroundings and found a Starbucks right around the corner. :-)

We spent our days with a) sight seeing and b) shopping. We went on top of the Arc de Triomphe and of course the Eiffeltower (which is 327 metres high!!) and we saw the actual Mona Lisa in Louvre (we also saw the appartments of Napoleon III. and very cool sculptures from the Ancient Greek). Of course, we went down the Champs Elysees and there is a HUGE Sephora (a shop where you can buy LOADS of make up - but it's a liiiiiittle pricey as you can buy the high street and luxury lables and brands there). We both bought a few things (what I bought will be up in a haul video on my youtube channel and also on my blog here). We also saw Notre Dame and Sacrecoeur, the famous churches. One of my fayourite things was to walk around Montmartre - a small part of Paris with loads of cute little shops and bistros.
We also went to Versailles - the beautiful and bombastic castle of Louis XIV. The gardens are amazing - you can even rent a rowing boat (we did that - it was hilarious).
On our last day there was the arrival of the cyclists from the Tour de France - the great final of this very long cycling tour across France. We stood behind the barriers and were cheering and whooping when the cyclists came by. Personally, I think this was a very unique experience as I never thought I would be in Paris during the final of the Tour de France and witnessing this great event was just awesome!

On 28th of July we went back to the airport and (after doing some shopping in the duty free store) we got to our gate and went back to Vienna.

It was an amazing holiday and I really hope I can visit Paris again!

Hopefully, you liked this kind of "travel diary" - I just want to share my experiences with you guys!
If you have been to Paris, what did you do and what were your favourite places to go? Let me know in the comments or email me! :-)

My next blog will be a "haul" post with all the stuff I bought in Paris - stay tuned!

I leave a few pictures below - check them out!

3 Things To Do In London

Hello, my besties!
Sorry for not posting for a while but I was in Germany and in Paris and I didn't have my laptop with me.
Therefore, there will be loooots of posts this week!

Today I want to tell you about my favourite things I did in London a month ago and maybe you'll try them out, too. :)

1. Harry Potter - Warner Bros. Studios Tour
Although the studios are not directly in London, it is worth a visit. You can get there easily by rail from London Euston to Watford Junction. From there, buses are provided (not just any buses but special Harry Potter buses!!), which bring you to the studios. You can either get an Audio Guide or just explore everything on your own.
Maybe you have to wait a little to get in but it's totally worth it. After watching a short documentary in a cinema you enter the Great Hall (the ACTUAL Great Hall) and from there on you can go whereever you want, you can explore Dumbledore's office or ride on a broom stick, you can check out the Special Effects department or buy Butterbeer (which is actually delicious!). There is informtion provided everywhere (so you can easily go through the studios without an Audio Guide), either texts or videos. At the end you can see the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING model of Hogwarts (which is much, much bigger than you expect it to be).
Of course, there is a huge fan shop where you can buy literally everything that is a part of the Harry Potter series, e.g. a functioning Marauder's Map, wands, clothes, scarfs,... the list goes on and on. You can check out the merch on www.harrypottershop.com.
the Harry Potter bus, which takes you to the studios
I enjoyed exploring all the secrets behind the magical world of Harry Potter, it was extremely interesting and a lot of fun. I could have spent a whole day in there and look at the props and find out more about the incredible world, that Joanne K. Rowling created (For those of you who are interested in J.K. Rowling, here's the link to her website: www.jkrowling.com).

2. Les Misèrables in Queen's Theatre
As a musical lover, of course I went to see one in London. Les Mis is a quite long musical (it is about 3 hours long), composed by Claude-Michel Schönber. The libretto is by Alain Boublil. It is based on the novel "Les Misérables" by Victor Hugo. Its first performance took place in 1980 and since then, the musical is one of the most famous ones.

The plot: It is a rather complicated plot but basically, a former prisoner named Jean Valjean starts a new life under a false name. He saves a child and adoptes her (her name is Cosette) and raises her like his own daughter. When Cosette is a teenager she falls in love with Marius, a young student. They get together but beacuse of the French Revolution, the revolutionary students build barricades in order to fight the government and Marius nearly dies. He is saved by Valjean, who realized that Cosette loves Marius, however, all the other students die. After Marius's recovery, Valjean tells him the truth about his life (his imprisonment, his false name). When Valjean is about to die (after Marius's and Cosette's wedding), he also tells Cosette the truth and he dies in her arms.
It's a very tragic musical but the songs, the lyrics, the music -- it's perfect! I loved it! The stage scenery is amazing, with lots of special effects. The live orchestra plays the fantastic music and the singers were great! I highly recommend this musical at Queen's Theatre, you can check out the links below for some further information. :)

3. Hyde Park
This doesn't seem as thrilling as the points above BUT Hyde Park is probably the best park I've ever been to (except the gardens of Versailles :P). In Hyde Park you can go to:
- Kensington Palace, where Prince William and his Kate live with baby George. There is also a shop and a museum in there.
- Serpentine Lake, where the Olympic Games took place (the swimming marathon, which is 10 km long). You can go swimming, rent boats or just chill at the shore in one of the cafès.
- Wellington Arch, an arch dedicated to Arthur Wellesley, the first Duke of Wellington, who was the winner of the battle at Waterloo.
- Speakers Corner, where everybody can held a speeches, whenever they want.

There is also a bowling alley, a riding arena and lots of space to have a picnic or play soccer, volleyball or any other kind of sport.
It is a great place to relax at any time and I really enjoyed walking through the whole park and exploring what it offers.

My 3 Favourite Books

Hello, my besties!
Yesterday was a relaxing day, I had time to read and just chill in my bed with music. Therefore, I want to write about my three favourite books at the moment, however, they will be my favourite books for a long time, as they are just AMAZING!! I am in love with them!
I am a person who rereads books. I know that not everybody likes to do this but I want to feel all these incredible emotions again and again and again. I think I've read the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone, about 12 times. Or even more, I stopped couting. :P
However, none of my three favourite books at the moment is a Harry Potter book (they are more like my all-time favs).
I highly recommend these books and I would love to hear what you thought about them in the comments!

1. The Fault In Our Starts by John Green

I will give the end away, so if you don't want to know how the books ends, don't read any further than "SPOILER ALERT".

You have probably heard of this incredible book before and if you don't then ... I tell you something about it now. In The Fault In Our Stars a sixteen-year-old girl, who has lung cancer and therefore needs a cannula to help her breathe, meets through a Cancer Support Group a guy named Augustus Waters, who had osteosarcoma, but now is healed. The two of them get closer and closer and it's amazing who John Green captures the lives of two ill teenagers who fall in love. They go to Amsterdam together to meet their favourite author, Peter Van Houten, who wrote the book "An Imerpial Affliction". This book brought Hazel (the sixteen-year-old girl) and Augustus closer. However, the author became an alcoholic and cannot give them the answers they were hoping for, however they get together and are a couple now.
SPOILER ALERT: When they get back home, Augustus tells Hazel that is cancer has come back and that it is impossible for him to survive the disease. Hazel and her friend Isaac (who had eye cancer but had surgery and is now blind) visit Augustus every day. They can see how Augustus gets ill more and gets weaker. In the end Augustus dies and Hazel held the eulogy at his funeral. She finds a eulogy that Augustus has written for her, in case that she would die before him. The reader does not know how long Hazel lives as the books ends with the eulogy, Augustus has written.
Peronally, I LOVE the book although it is very sad (I cried every time I read it from page 242 on.). But it shows two teenagers with terminal diseases who fall irrevocably in love and their mutual understanding for each others situation helps their sadly very short relationship. All in all, this book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by The New York Times and also by me.

2. Seriously...I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres
This book is in contrast to the sad love story above. It is not really a story but Ellen DeGeneres (who is an amazing person, in my opinion) makes me laugh on every single page. You can see this book as a kind of life guide. E.g. she writes about how to be a supermodel or tells you her gambling tips. Every chapter is a new little story in itself and that's what makes the book beautiful (to use the words of One Direction). The blurb is funny enough to make you laugh in the middle of a bookshop and I bought the book simply because of the blurb - and because it's a book written by the one and only Ellen.
This book is immensely hilarious and I recommend it highly for sad and depressive days when you think nothing can make you laugh - I guarantee you, this book will.

3. The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out Of The Window And Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson
According to the motto "you are never too old for an adventure", Allan Karlsson climbes out of the window (on his hundredth birthday! That man has to be a sporting ace!) and disappeares (I know, that's exactely what the title says, but all in all, that's the story.). He startes his unbelievable journey with a crime: He steals a man's suitcase, not knowing that this man is a criminal himself - the money is "drug money" and now the police AND the drug gang chase him. Allan gets onto a bus and finally gets away from his old people's home. Little by little, his earlier life is revealed parallel to the actual story and the reader learns how Allan hitchhiked with Winston Churchill and walked across the Himalaya on foot.
Jonas Jonasson created an incredibly funny book, which is a mixture between a hilarious comedy and an exciting crime novel.
I loved this book and recommend for any of you - no matter how old you are, this book is an amazing pastime.

I hope I raised a little interest in you guys and tell me any of your current favourite books!

Morning Sports Routine

Hello, my besties!
Today is the finale of the soccer world championship and I am SO excited! I have to say that I am a huge soccer fan – although I don't play, I only watch. :P I literally saw every game and now the last two teams play to win the trophy! For those of you who don't watch soccer: Germany and Argentina are the two finalists and it's going to be an extremely thrilling game! I even found a matching shower gel (as the finale takes plave in Rio):
Cien: Destination Rio de Janerio (shower gel)
Therefore, today's topic is sports. I'll show you some simple exercises that I do when I wake up to get ready for the day.
When I get up I need something that gets me awake quickly – what is better than a few exercises that activate your body and make you ready for the day at school or work? I don't want to put too much effort in this morning sports routine – I don't have enough time for an hour-long work out. Therefore, I thought of some quick and easy exercises that I can do still in bed or just standing up – so no equipment is needed. I try to wake up every part of my body. At first I get up and drink a glass of cold water to wake me up properly as I am not a morning person (I think only 0.00001 % of the world population are). Then I start with my work out (I work out before I have my breakfast but you can of course eat before your sports routine):

1. stretching the back: After this I stand up and (try to) reach my toes in order to stretch my back (Do that slowly! When you do that too quickly you can hurt yourself due to overstretching!).
2. tummy muscels: The first thing I do is sit-ups – not like 100 but 25, that's totally enough (of course you can do more but I feel like I don't want to put my body under too much stress in the early morning haha). Then I do side way situps – 10 left and 10 right. That's enough for the tummy muscles.
3. legs: In order to wake up my legs I do 25 squats (optionally with dumb bells).
4. neck: Stretch your neck by bending it sideways and forth and back SLOWLY (again you can overstretch yourself – be careful!).
5. jogging in place: As the headline says you just jog in place for one and a half minutes. You can add a little more effect by training with dumb bells (if you don't have any you can use water bottles).
6. push-ups: To be honest with you, I am not able to do proper push-ups. Every time I try I fail miserably. But for those of you who have more biceps than I have you can add push-ups to your daily routine.
7. balasana: This is a yoga exercise which is extremely relaxing and comfortable. You knee on the floor and put your forehad on the floor and lay your arms beside your body. Now you just breath in and out deeply 10 times.

That's my morning sports routine! Comment if you have any ideas how to improve the work out!

The Nude Look

Hello, world of blogging! Hello, internet!
This is my very first blog entry - and I am quite excited!! As this little blog is all about make up, fashion, beauty and lifestyle I would like to share my newest obsession with you (although I am probably very late with this obsession):
the Nude Look.
For those of you, who are new to the beauty/make up world, I'll explain what it is as best as I can:
The Nude Look is based on the "boudoir style", which was a movement in the 19th and 20th century in France. Certain fabrics became popular (such as laces and frills) and the new motto was "less is more" although the body wasn't ought to be exposed - sexual attraction was the main aim. During the Twenties and Thirties the Nude Look became established by women working in cabarets and varieties.
Typical examples for the Nude Look are:
 - hotpants
 - nylon stockings
 - frill blouses (plus showing the décolleté)
 - loose dresses
 - laces
 - shoes: sandals
Thanks to the "Prêt-à-porter" movement the Nude Look nowadays can be worn by everybody. The aim is to look sexy and show your body (with form-fitting clothes) but not to be too erotic and provoking.
Concerning make up, there is a different approach. Any colour between off-white and light brown is in the nude look range. These colours help you to create the "no make up look".
I think the Nude Look is a perfect start for everybody to get into the whole fashion and beauty world. Neither is it difficult to create, nor is it too flamboyant (if you don't exaggerate it, of course).
In my opinion everybody can rule the Nude Look - another huge advantage. Additionally, probably every single make up brand has published products that fit into this category, so it's easy for you to find a product that suits you best.
You can start your nude look with just lipstick and then expand it - using nail polish, eye shadow or even suitable clothes.

I hope you liked my first blog entry! If you have any questions contact me!

Lots of love,
